PAANI’S SECOND POP-UP AT JOHN LEWIS: A JOURNEY OF CONNECTION & COPPER WELLNESS

Valentine’s season is all about love, and at Paani, we’ve been feeling the love in Nottingham! As we set up our second pop-up at John Lewis in Victoria Shopping Centre, we’ve had the incredible opportunity to meet our community in person, share the story behind our handcrafted copper products, and introduce something very special that’s coming soon.

This journey has been nothing short of amazing. Paani started as a simple question during the COVID-19 pandemic—why has my family been using copper? That curiosity led to deep research, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and ultimately, the creation of Paani. Now, to see our products displayed in John Lewis, to have customers walk up, hold them, feel their weight, examine their shine, and learn about their benefits—it’s truly surreal.

Seeing Copper Through a New Lens

One of the most exciting parts of being in John Lewis is watching the reactions of new customers. At first glance, many think our bottles are decorative pieces, admiring the craftsmanship and finish. But once they hear about copper’s natural properties—how it has been revered in Ayurveda for centuries, how it naturally purifies water, and how it plays a role in overall wellness—their curiosity turns into genuine intrigue.

Some customers are fascinated by the science, like studies showing copper’s antimicrobial properties, while others are drawn in by the sustainability aspect, appreciating the longevity of a copper bottle compared to plastic alternatives. Many are excited by the idea of incorporating ancient wellness practices into their modern routine —whether through a handcrafted copper bottle or our popular Jihva tongue scraper.

The Power of Experience

Shopping online has its benefits, but nothing compares to seeing a product in person. Being in-store allows customers to touch and feel our products—test the bottle sizes, see the rich copper tones up close, and understand how our handcrafted designs differ from mass produced alternatives. Some even take the opportunity to ask for care tips or discuss their own experiences with copper! The beauty of an in-person pop-up is that it becomes more than just a transaction—it’s an exchange of knowledge, tradition, and culture.

A Special Limited Edition & A Sneak Peek

One of the most exciting aspects of this pop-up has been the launch of our Sage Green Sleeve. This fresh new shade has been turning heads, adding a modern twist to our traditional copper bottles. Customers have loved the natural, earthy aesthetic and how it complements the rich glow of copper. It’s been flying off the shelves, and with limited stock available, it’s truly been a first-come, first-served experience!

But beyond that, we’ve also been offering a sneak peek of something brand new—a product launching next month that ties deeply into the ancient wisdom we honour at Paani. The response so far has been incredible. Without revealing too much, let’s just say it’s something designed to enhance your space, your rituals, and your well-being. Our community has already started guessing, and we can’t wait to unveil it soon!

Nottingham, You’ve Been Amazing
